General Information for the class:
- Textbook: Principles of Mathematical Analysis, third edition, by Walter Rudin
- Lecture class meetings are
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:00 am - 12:00 noon. We are scheduled to
meet in DRLB 3C8.
- My office hours are
Mondays 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Wednesdays 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
in DRLB 4N71 (my office).
Please feel free to drop by
at other times and I will be glad to see you if possible or make an appointment.
Basic Ground Rules:
Final grade based on three parts: Final exam (40%), one midterm exam
(30% ),
and everything else (30%). Everything else includes regular homework,
the occasional quiz, etc..
Homework will be assigned on Thursday, to be handed in
during class on Friday of the following week.
Homework will contain instructions for reading. Make sure you do the
reading before the class for which it is assigned. I will assume you
have done so.
Exams:
- Midterm Exam: Monday, March 19, 2012, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm, in DRLB A5
- Final Exam: Tuesday, May 08, 2012, 9:00 am - 11:00 am, tentative
Grading notes: At the end of the semester, everyone who has not
withdrawn from the
class will get a grade. Incompletes will not be given to avoid F's.
