I am the laboratory instructor for Michael Pimsner's Math 361 class. Here is Dr. Pimsner's web site for the class.
The lecture for this class is on Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 11 AM to noon in DRL 4C6.
The recitations for this class are as follows:
Office hours: Tuesday 1 - 2 pm, Friday 10 - 11 am, or by appointment, in DRL 4N27. To make an appointment e-mail me at mlugo@math.upenn.edu.
Homework: Homework will in general be due on Fridays by 2 PM. Please come to my office (DRL 4N27) to hand it in; if I'm not there slip it under the door of my office. Homework assignments can be found at the course web site. It is highly recommended that you at least look at each of the problems on the homework before your laboratory section meets.
Grading: Thirty percent of your course grade is based on the laboratory section. This grade will come mostly (about two-thirds) from the homework; some portion of it (about one-third) will come from your participation in the section, by presenting solutions to problems, asking insightful questions, and the like. I intend to check the homework to see that all the problems have been done and to grade selected problems more thoroughly; the exact number of problems which will be graded thoroughly may vary from week to week. You should endeavor to write solutions that are both mathematically correct and well-written.
Late homework will not be accepted for credit. I will drop the lowest two homework grades for each student.
